There are certain things that are not allowed to be imported into Indonesia, and other goods restricted unless certain conditions or paperwork is completed. There are also goods that is not happy to carry, regardless of destination. You can see our list of restricted items here.

If you’re shipping personal baggage to Indonesia, then you must make sure it’s just that – any commercial items found in your luggage will incur a IDR 25,000 fine, per piece.
For personal shipments you are allowed up to 5kg of used items. However, if you’re a business looking to ship used items to Indonesia then you must get a permit from the Ministry of Trade. It’s a good idea to get this arranged before shipping, as otherwise your goods may be held in customs.
