Prohibited and Restricted Items when Sending to South Korea

There are some rules about what you are allowed to ship by courier – some goods are considered hazardous, such as perfume, others are universally banned. You can see a full list of goods that are not carried by on our list of restricted items.
South Korea has a much more open border than the country’s northern neighbour, but there are still some things which South Korean Customs just won’t let through. When planning your delivery you should ensure that not only can we ship your items, but that they will also be allowed into South Korea.

Items which are prohibited from being imported into South Korea include:

  • Counterfeit currency
  • Any form of media that may be harmful to public security, or customs
  • Items that contain confidential information on government or intelligence activities.
  • All weapons (including decorative or replica weapons)
  • Cashier’s checks, overdraft checks, postal money orders, etc.

Please note that this is not a comprehensive list of goods. For more information, be sure to visit the South Korean Customs website , where there is a complete list of prohibited and restricted goods.
