Prohibited and Restricted Items when Sending to Japan

Just as there are rules about what you can buy, there are rules about what you can send to Japan. There are certain items that refuses to carry. We have our own list of prohibited items , so make sure that you check that your goods are allowed before booking your delivery.

Every country also has their own rules about imports that are allowed or prohibited and Japan is no different. When shipping to Japan, make sure that your shipment does not include:

• Obscene or immoral materials
• Child pornography
• Counterfeit goods – specifically money which is imitation or has been altered
• Firearms and ammunition
• Explosive
• Narcotic drugs like opium, cannabis and stimulants
• Books or articles that infringe on copyright
• Chemicals or germs that may be used as weapons
