Prohibited and Restricted Items when Sending to Morocco

When you ship internationally, there are certain goods that are not allowed. Some are banned by couriers, as they are considered hazardous – and some of these might surprise you. Nail varnish, for example, is banned for international shipment. You can see a full list of restricted and prohibited items for more information.

Every culture has their own rules and restrictions, and the Moroccan customs agency restricts certain goods to reflect these rules. These are also goods that you cannot import into Morocco, above and beyond ’s restrictions:

  • Items that are offensive to Muslim culture
  • Playing Cards
  • Publications for public resale
  • Antiques

There are also some goods that may require the permission of the Moroccan government to be imported into Morocco. Before you send one of the following, you should contact Moroccan customs:

  • Books intended for non-commercial use
  • Cosmetics
  • Maps
  • Textiles

Keep in mind that this is not a full list of the restricted and prohibited goods. For a comprehensive list, please go to the Moroccan customs website.
