To make sure that there are no problems when clearing customs, you should properly declare the full nature and value of your goods. If you fail to do so, you may have the wrong fees applied or your package may be delayed clearing customs.

There’s almost no chance of your parcel arriving without having taken a few bumps or knocks in transit, but that doesn’t mean your goods have to be damaged. You can protect them by properly packaging your goods.
A good box is the first line of defence, and there’s nothing better than a new, corrugated box. Don’t be tempted into using an older box – it could be crushed or burst in transit.
Wrap each of your goods individually before placing them in your box. Surround with plenty of packaging material, and make sure that they do not touch the walls of your box, or move when your box is shaken.
Use strong packing tape to shore up your box’s weakest points. Wrap three times in a union flag pattern, with extra tape on the corners and seals. Then add your labels so that all information is clearly visible, especially the barcode.
