Although there are lots of fantastic items you can send to the Philippines, there are also restrictions on some goods which you need to bear in mind before you book.
Firstly, it’s a good idea to check out ’s Prohibited goods list , which we will not ship to any destination.
On top of those prohibitions there are items which the Philippines restricts, or outright does not allow into the country.
These rules are set by the Filipino government, so it’s no surprise to find them taking a few precautions to secure their authority – It’s totally prohibited to import any printed articles which advocate overthrowing the government of the Philippines in any way. Any writing which contains threats to harm Filipino citizens is also strictly prohibited.
Some other prohibitions are used to uphold the country’s law. For example, abortions are illegal in the Philippines, so any drugs which could aid the procedure are completely banned.
The Filipino government’s second-largest source of income after taxes is profits from gambling, from the government-owned Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation. So it’s no wonder that the authorities keep a strong hold on this revenue stream by prohibiting the import of any gambling machines, or articles of such, this includes items such as pinball machines and lottery tickets.
For more, check out the Philippines’ official list of items that you’re not allowed to bring into the country.
Make sure to check their list before you book your shipment, and if you’re not sure whether or not your goods are allowed to be imported into the Philippines, contact their customs agency to make sure that your shipment is allowed.
