When your parcel reaches customs in India it may be subject to duties and taxes, which will be charged to the receiver. Although these cannot be paid in advance, if you talk to the customer services team we are able to help you pay when the charges are calculated.
Shipping to India from the UK means that you will have to fill in a customs form when you place your order. With , our system generates the relevant customs form to be filled in when you complete an order, so you know that you definitely have all the necessary paperwork.

In order to ensure that your goods arrive undamaged, there are three key things you need to be aware of when packing your parcel:
New boxes are stronger, don't risk a second hand one if you can help it. Old boxes can seem sturdy, but could be hiding flaws that could make your box burst or be crushed in transit. Sending more than 10kg? Get a double-lined box.
Wrap everything individually before putting it in the box and surround it with packaging materials so that there's at least a 6cm cushion between your goods and the box wall. When you shake your packed box, nothing should move.
Wrap your box three times around with parcel tape to create a Union Jack flag pattern. Make sure to support the corners and seams in particular. Peel off or obscure any old labels and attach your shipping labels securely so that all information is visible.
You can send food to India, but remember that there is extra paperwork that you will need to do, and some rules about what can be sent by courier.
