There is always the risk that there may be bumps or knocks to your package, especially when it is shipped internationally, since it will change hands on a regular basis. To make sure that your goods arrive in the same great condition that they leave in, it’s vital that you probably protect them.
There are three key points to keep in mind when packing your goods.
The first line of defence for your goods is your box. Using a new, double corrugated box helps protect your goods, but don’t be tempted into using an older box – they’ve been known to burst and be crushed in transit.
Wrap your goods separately, so that they are not touching each other. Then suspend them in your box, so that no part of your goods are against the walls of your box.
Be generous with your packing tape – wrap three times around your box in a Union Flag pattern, with extra tape on your corners and seals. Then you can add your shipping labels so that all information is clearly visible.
Our partner carriers won’t carry just anything. Hazardous goods like firearms or perfume aren’t allowed, nor are the other goods on ’s Prohibited Items list . There are some extra charges and delays when shipping to some areas. This is because it is much more difficult to deliver a parcel to a cabin in Chizarira National Park than it is to a house in Harare. Don’t worry though – these charges and delays are taken into account when we give you your quote.
